Poland to Deploy 10,000 Troops on Border With Belarus

Polish Defense Minister Mariusz Blaszczak promised to place 10,000 troops on the border with Belarus . He stated this in an interview with Polish Radio, writes TASS .

According to him, 4,000 soldiers will directly guard the border, and about 6,000 soldiers in the eastern regions adjacent to it. He also promised that within two years the Polish army would become the strongest in Europe.

According to him, even now the number of the Polish army reaches 170,000 soldiers.

Earlier, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said that the purchase of weapons in the US , UK and South Korea by Poland create additional risks for Russia. He attributed this to the fact that Poland intends to create “the most powerful army” in Europe.
