Cyprus expands its diplomatic presence abroad, by opening in October, diplomatic missions in Indonesia (Jakarta) and Argentina (Buenos Aires).

The diplomatic mission in Indonesia re-operates as it had opened in 2010 but closed in 2013, due to the financial crisis.

Cyprus’ Ambassador – designate in Jakarta is Nikos Panayiotou, while in Buenos Aires is Stelios Georgiades. They both assumed their duties there this week, ahead of the ceremonies during which they will present their credentials.
